Rochester Home Birth Circle

Sunday February 17th 1pm – 3pm

Sunday May 19th 1pm-3pm

Until there is a separate page for this, I will update here with upcoming meetings!

As a doula and mother of three, my passion for birth comes in the trust that birth works. Women’s bodies work.  While many of the clients I work with give birth in a hospital setting, my own children were all born at home where I personally felt most comfortable.  Hence, my enthusiasm for home birth.

Rochester Home Birth Circle has been in existence for 20 years (!!) and I only recently took over as the facilitator. It has waned in popularity in recent years, perhaps because of social media and women and families are finding support for their choices in the online world, but it felt important to me to revive the in person meetings.

At this point I am intending on scheduling in person meetings every 2-3 months.  This group is for anyone interested in home birth. Had a home birth 20 years ago? Come join us! Not yet pregnant, but considering home birth if you become pregnant? Come join us! Anywhere in between? You get the idea 🙂

Meetings are currently held at Welcome Home Midwifery located at 2425 Clover Street, Rochester, NY 14618. Use Entrance B and come downstairs.  For use of the space I ask a small donation of about $5 per family, but please don’t let this be a deterrent. Come anyway! Children are always welcome, and hot tea will be available. I look forward to connecting with you!
